Abstract: ‘Sportclimbing in Tirol’ is the climbing guidebook for the Austrian sportclimbing eldorado that lies in the heart of the Eastern Alps. For a while now, Tyrol has been known as Austria's home and center of sportclimbing. In this region granite and limestone can be found in close proximity. Due to the huge amount of bolted routes, every kind of climber - no matter if pro, beginner or ambitious climber - can find something for his or her taste! On 640 pages, the book describes the climbing possibilities, around Innsbruck, in Ötztal, in the surroundings of Imst and Reutte, in Zillertal, around the Wilder Kaiser, in Rofan as well as East Tirol, in eight chapters. In total these are around 90 crags with more than 4,600 routes. The neatly arranged design with detailed maps, overviews and full-color topos facilitates the orientation.
