Abstract: Chiusa la storia di Jason Bourne tocca ad Aaron Cross. Agente del programma Outcome, miracolosamente sopravvissuto alla "chiusura del programma", ovvero all'eliminazione fisica di tutti gli agenti, Cross è costretto ad assumere una serie di medicinali che ne migliorano le prestazioni (fisiche) e ne indirizzano le scelte (intellettuali), dai quali deve disintossicarsi per non dipendere dal governo. L'unica a poterlo aiutare è una delle dottoresse incaricate di tenere d'occhio gli agenti, anch'essa a sua insaputa a rischio "chiusura".
