Abstract: Derborence, c’est l’histoire d’une montagne qui s’écroule sur un alpage. C’est aussi l’histoire de villageois endeuillés qui pensent voir un fantôme, d’un homme qui survit à l’insensé et en perd la raison, et d’une femme qui porte la vie et refuse de perdre espoir. Déroulé tragique, personnages attachants et rude décor de montagne: le célèbre livre de Charles Ferdinand Ramuz se prête à l’illustration. Il a été choisi pour lancer la nouvelle collection d’Helvetiq: un triptyque de romans graphiques tirés de l’oeuvre du grand écrivain romand. En adaptant et illustrant Derborence, Fabian Menor s’est attaché à faire ressortir les liens qui unissent les personnages. Il a choisi le pinceau et l’encre de Chine pour rendre visuellement l’atmosphère particulière de la haute montagne.

Abstract: Jusquau jour du Drame, il y avait deux familles Goldman. Les Goldman-de-Baltimore et les Goldman-de-Montclair. Les Goldman-de-Montclair, dont est issu Marcus Goldman, lauteur de La Vérité sur lAffaire Harry Quebert, sont une famille de la classe moyenne, habitant une petite maison à Montclair, dans le New Jersey. Les Goldman-de-Baltimore sont une famille prospère à qui tout sourit, vivant dans une luxueuse maison dune banlieue riche de Baltimore, à qui Marcus vouait une admiration sans borne. Huit ans après le Drame, cest lhistoire de sa famille que Marcus Goldman décide cette fois de raconter, lorsquen février 2012 il quitte lhiver new-yorkais pour la chaleur tropicale de Boca Raton, en Floride, où il vient satteler à son prochain roman

Abstract: Ornaments are omnipresent - they can be found on buildings, fabrics, jewelry, tiles, ceramics and wallpaper. Scorned at the beginning of the modern age, ornament has long since returned to architecture and influences design drafts as much as tattoo motifs. In New Grammar of Ornament, Thomas Weil compares current ornamental objects with the results of archaeological research on ornamental artifacts and concludes that there is an anthropological constant. Abstract: Im Weißen Haus, in einem Dorf im Nildelta, sind Gamila und Salma gemeinsam aufgewachsen. Heute kommt Gamila als Studentin im kurzen, schwarzen Kleidchen daher. Salma, die Journalistin, führt ein bürgerliches Leben und will aus der Enge ihrer gescheiterten Ehe ins Schreiben flüchten. Dabei muss sie sich auch der gemeinsamen Vergangenheit stellen.
